Can I repeat specific subjects after finishing Grade 12, or do I have to redo the whole grade?
If you want to repeat a subject, including the year’s portfolio work (SBA), you may register for the specific subject(s). If you only want to repeat the final examination for subjects you have already written the NSC for, the previous year’s SBA will apply.
New subjects:
If a learner has already sat for the NSC, they may register for additional, new subjects - we recommend that you limit these to two. The Grade 10 and 11 materials for the subjects must be acquired and worked through to provide the learner with an understanding of each subject's fundamental principles. However, it is not a requirement for learners to formally complete Grades 10 and 11 in the new subject(s) through Impaq.
