How do I appoint an assessor for practical subjects?
The first step is to review the
subject requirements and determine what type of assessor is needed to assess the PATs (and orals) for a certain subject.
Learners may complete their PAT and/or oral assessments that require Impaq-approved assessors through an Impaq assessment event. Tickets for these events are available on the
Optimi Plus online store. Please contact us should you not be able to find a suitable assessment event.
Where a competent assessor is needed to assess a practical component, the assessor does not need to be pre-approved by Impaq. However, the assessor must still adhere to the requirements as specified, and a copy of their CV, SACE certificate and proof of qualification(s) must be available upon request for moderation purposes.
The parent/legal guardian or account holder must then make arrangements with the assessor for the practical component to be completed by the learner.
