How does the Impaq Online School approach irregularities during tests or exams?
Impaq founded the Irregularity Committee in 2023, which is dedicated to ensuring fairness and maintaining academic integrity.
If an irregularity is identified during the marking process, this is sent to the relevant subject specialists to moderate the question paper. Any substantiating information and evidence are then submitted to the committee for internal investigation. The committee decides on the outcome. The Irregularity Committee’s decision is final. The guardian(s) will only be informed of the outcome of the committee’s decision once the decision has been made. Affected parties are invited to contact Impaq should they require clarification on the outcome.
Confirmed irregularities may be subject to legal action and/or the reporting of the suspected invigilator(s) to the relevant authorities as described by (but not limited to) the National Protocol for Assessments and the Regulations pertaining to the conduct, administration and management of the National Senior Certificate Examination (relevant to learners in Grades R to 12).
