How does the final NSC exam work for Grade 12 Impaq Online School learners?

How does the final NSC exam work for Grade 12 Impaq Online School learners?

All tests and examinations at the Impaq Online School are completed under the supervision of the teacher via MS Teams. However, the final NSC examination is administrated by the assessment body, SACAI, and learners will write their final exams at an examination venue allocated to them by SACAI.

SACAI, the assessment body for distance education, issues the National Senior Certificate (NSC) and administers the final examination at the end of your Grade 12 year. SACAI establishes examination centres, subject to approval by Umalusi. Centre allocation is dependent on a candidate’s residential address, the capacity of the venue, candidates’ subject choices as well as any approved accommodations or concessions.

All costs for the registration and administration of the NSC final examination for candidates within the borders of South Africa are included in the registration fee. However, additional costs may apply for Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts, Hospitality Studies, Consumer Studies, and/or any approved accommodations/concessions.

Candidates residing abroad will be required to write the NSC examination in South Africa.

Please refer to the Everything you need to know about the NSC document available on the Optimi Learning Portal under Resources > Academic Year > Where to begin for more information.
