How will the 2024 Grade 12 Tourism PAT be presented?
SACAI has released instructions on the assessment of the Grade 12 Tourism PAT (Practical Assessment Task) for 2024. The way this PAT should be assessed has changed significantly from previous years:
- The PAT will be presented and treated as a test and will form part of the Term 3 test series.
- The PAT must be invigilated by an Impaq-approved invigilator (the same invigilation rules for tests and exams apply).
- The PAT is divided into two parts, taking place over two (2) days. Learners must attend both 4 ½ hour sessions as indicated on the test timetable (6 and 7 August 2024). A resource pack will be provided to learners for each day. These days are not flexible, and attendance is compulsory.
The amended Grade 12 term test timetable can be found on the Optimi Learning Portal (OLP) under Resources > General Documents > Test and Exam timetables > Grades 10 to 12.
