How is the online school different from Impaq’s core offering and online classes?
We have two unique offerings at Impaq:
1. Impaq’s homeschooling offering, that enables any parent to homeschool like a pro. For more information on this offering, please visit our website.
2. Impaq’s online school offers learners daily classes facilitated by qualified teachers who will also act as the learner’s guide on their learning journey. Learners are part of a virtual classroom environment affording them the opportunity to engage, collaborate, and get to know one another and their teachers. Learners who enjoy the safety and comfort of their home, but still long for engagement, will flourish in this environment.
Who can register for the online school?
The online school is available in English and Afrikaans for all Grade 4 to 12 learners.
What is included in the online school?
- assessments and marking of assessments, including practical assessments,
- live, interactive classes presented daily by qualified teachers;
- access to teachers for additional support;
- extra classes in certain subjects
- opportunities to interact with classmates;
- access to the OLP with videos, quizzes, pdf’s, etc.
- access to chat forums, and
- access to the ‘It’s OK’ app, which focuses on mental health and wellbeing.
- registration with SACAI
The classes will be capped at 30 learners. Hardcopy learner books will also be included in the package.
Which subjects will be offered through Impaq’s online school?
For Grade 4 – 9 learners, all subjects will be offered.

What will the online school cost?
To get a cost estimate,
complete the first few steps of the online registration process. Simply choose your child’s grade, subjects, and material type (printed or e-books) to get a cost estimate within a few minutes. It is an obligation-free process that does not require any private information. Alternatively, please contact us on 087 405 2233 for telephonic assistance.
Which laptop or PC will I need for the online school?
We recommend a laptop or PC with enough RAM to handle larger mathematical equations, videos, and a large number of images. Your laptop or PC will need to have a webcam as learners interact face-to-face. A cellphone is not recommended. Stable internet access is required (we recommend Fibre or ADSL with a minimum 20MB line. All equipment and software are for the client’s own account (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
