My child struggles with maths and numbers, what should I do?

In Grade R, we recommend that you start off by introducing your learner to the first 10 numbers. It's important to teach number sense in a practical way as part of your daily routine; for example: "Bring me 4 pencils" or "Touch 2 of your toes". 

Many non-abstract concepts like shapes, patterns, more than, less than, story sums, bigger than, smaller than, ordinal numbers, problem-solving, etc. are learned in Grade R​, which helps learners build a foundation for Mathematics.
