Which subjects are offered by the Impaq Online School (Grades 10 to 12)?
In the FET Phase (Grades 10 to 12), learners have 4 compulsory subjects, including:
- Life Orientation
- Mathematics OR Mathematical Literacy
- One Home Language (English Home Language or Afrikaans Huistaal)
- One First Additional Language (Afrikaans First Additional Language, English First Additional Language OR isiZulu First Additional Language)
In addition to the four compulsory subjects, learners must then choose at least 3 additional subjects. The Impaq Online School offers a wide range of elective subjects for learners in Grades 10 to 12:

• Physical Sciences (PHS)
• Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD)
• Tourism (TOU)
• Consumer Studies (CSS)
• Hospitality Studies (HOS)
• History (HIS)
• Geography (GEG)
• Business Studies (BUS)
• Economics (ECO)
• Computer Applications Technology (CAT)
• Information Technology (IT)
• Visual Arts (VIA)
Please note:
- Hospitality Studies cannot be taken with Consumer Studies.
- Mathematics is compulsory with Physical Sciences. We also recommend that Mathematics is taken with Accounting, Engineering Graphics and Design, Information Technology, or Life Sciences.
- Consumer Studies cannot be taken with Information Technology.
- Geography cannot be taken with Visual Arts.
- History cannot be taken with Economics.
- Hospitality Studies cannot be taken with Information Technology.
- Tourism cannot be taken with Accounting.
