Which subjects require an assessor?

All Grade 10 to 12 PATs and orals for the following subjects must be assessed via an Impaq assessment event OR by an Impaq-approved assessor.
  1. Orals for language subjects
  2. Dramatic Arts
  3. Visual Arts
  4. Consumer Studies
  5. Hospitality Studies
For Agricultural Management Practices, the assessor must be a farmer or veterinarian. 

*Learners registered for practical subjects at the Impaq Online School do not need to appoint assessors, as their teachers will assess PATs and orals.
**Parents and tutors can assess the Grade 10 and 11 CAT and IT practical assessment tasks (PATs). However, it is strongly advised that you make use of a teacher with the relevant qualifications and experience as per the subject requirement document tto assess the PATs or submit the PATs to Impaq for assessment. Impaq marks all Grade 12 assessment components. The assessment components must be submitted to Impaq on a USB/flash drive.
